An Examiner Writer Posts an Amber Alert, Twitter.com Helps Spread the Word

There is more to the popular microblogging site twitter.com then just mindless chatter about celebrities and what people are doing and what they are watching.

It is also a place where people ask for help to find missing people. But most of these alerts go unnoticed on twitter.com because there is no link or no proof behind what they said, and most of the alerts are blown off as hoaxes.

At 12:46 am this morning or late night, what ever it is for you an examiner.com writer in Tampa posted an article about an amber alert for a missing girl.

The link made it's way onto twitter.com and has been retweeted by 42 other people. It is certainly being talked about. If you have a twitter.com account help spread the word that this girl is missing by retweeting the link if you come across it, this little girl is still missing. If you don't have a twitter account click on the link about for her information.

"I think that is amazing that a band of people who don't know each pulls together to help bring a little girl home", says Cleveland resident Alice L.
"I have a twitter account and I retweeted the link as well", says Cleveland resident Tara P. "I believed this one, it had a link to information on the girl".
